Jijo is a live personalized fitness experience enabling everybody to achieve their potential — one virtual class at a time.  Using intelligent matching and interactive technology we find you trainers who match your interests and are best suited to help you meet your fitness goals.

To join, simply click here to get updates on our launch and when you’ll be able to create a profile.  We will then match your profile to trainers best suited for you and you can begin to  take live group or personal fitness classes from your computer or mobile device.

No! You only pay for classes you decide to purchase.  You can create your profile and even get your first private or two group classes for free. Jijo will match you with trainers and classes that meet your fitness goals as well as your budget.  You can select from Jijo matches, to purchase individual, group, or monthly passes. Start with you – sign up here.

Subscriptions are offered for group classes only, and enable the subscriber to attend as many group classes for that trainer in a given month. Subscriptions auto renew on the same day every month unless cancelled. Should you cancel a subscription prior to a renewal, you many continue to use that subscription until the day before the subscription was due to renew. Individual class purchases are paid for upfront, and ‘redeemed’ when you book an individual class session. Both subscriptions and session purchases are viewable in your wallet.

Yes, all trainers are certified in the areas of fitness they train on the Jijo platform by an organization that is accredited by the NCCA. (the National Commission for Certifying Agencies) or a health and/or fitness degree from an accredited four year university or college. In addition all trainers must obtain personal fitness insurance, as well as pass a background check prior to being accepted to the Jijo platform.

This is entirely up to you! Jijo offers a diverse selection of trainers — some will require equipment and others need none at all.  You simply customize your equipment preferences and we find the trainers that meet those needs.

No! Simply log into your class link at the time scheduled and you’ll be able to join the class from any browser on your desktop or mobile device.

That’s why we created Jijo – you don’t need to find the right trainer, Jijo will find them for you!  After you go through Jijo’s onboarding questionnaire and connect your wearable device, Jijo builds your unique profile, and matches that profile to the hundreds of trainers and clients on the platform.  When you log in, you’ll see those classes matched to your unique profile, right on your home page!

At Jijo we call this a ‘booking’.  You may book your class session by selecting from among any of the classes you’ve been matched to, click on details, and select “Book This Session”, after which you may either purchase sessions if you haven’t already done so, or if you already have purchased a monthly subscription with that trainer, you will be all set.  If you have already purchased a pack of sessions, one session will be deducted from your wallet.

VERY!  Jijo uses Stripe for all merchant processing and credit card transactions. To learn more on our standards for data protection and privacy please visit our privacy policy here.

Unlike other platforms that treat trainers as commodities, Jijo recognizes that each trainer is unique.  Each trainer has their own approach, speciality and technique, and thus their own pricing.  So while you can purchase class sessions and subscriptions for multiple trainers, purchases made for one trainer cannot be redeemed with another trainer.

At Jijo we take your privacy very seriously.  Our privacy policy is designed to provide you with the comfort you need to trust that Jijo will not sell or distribute your data, and will use it solely for improving your matches, and enabling your trainers to create more personalized experiences.  All of your data is encrypted and using industry standard encryption and access guidelines.

Class sessions may be booked any time prior to 5 (five) minutes before the start of that class session.  Once a class session is scheduled to begin within 5 minutes, clients will no longer be able to book a class session.  Trainers are provided with class session information prior to the class session so as to be able to fully prepare to provide a truly personalized experience for each client.  Information such as client injuries, prior client activity, and other data are available to the trainer just prior to the session start.  Jijo wants to provide the trainer with enough time to create a truly personalized experience for each client in every session.

Clients may join a session that has been previously booked in accordance with Jijo guidelines within the following window: up to 10 minutes prior to the start of the session, and up to 5 minutes after the start of the session.  Outside of this window, clients are unable to join the session.  Jijo provides up to 10 minutes for a ‘social period’ prior to every class session

Trainers on the Jijo platform are certified in a variety of modalities including strength training, HIIT, cardio dance, yoga, mediation, and breathing to name just a few.

Yes! You will be able to link your wearable devices to jijo.  Currently Jijo supports any wearable device that can be connected with Google Fit, which includes all major wearable devices including Apple Watch, by connecting your iPhone’s HealthKit app to the Google Fit app you can download on your phone.  Jijo will continue to work to enable more native wearable device connections continuously.  In the future you will be able to see real time workout results as well as track your workout history in your personalized jijo dashboard.

Jijo uses a matching algorithm that uses your specific fitness goals, scheduling needs, equipment you own, the personality traits you seek in a trainer, and desired price point to curate daily personalized trainer recommendations.  Through your specified answers to our questions and your workout choices we get smarter at finding the exact matches for you!

No! Jijo does not charge trainers anything to join because our success is aligned with yours. There are however certain costs a trainer will bear in order to join Jijo. All trainers are required to obtain three items, only two of which will be an out of pocket expense:
  1. Background check – Conducted by Jijo’s partner Goodhire, all trainers must pass a background check but here Jijo picks up the tab.
  2. Certification – Trainers are required to either be certified through an NCCA accredited organization, or have a four-year degree in fitness and/or health from an accredited college or university.
  3. Personal Trainer Insurance – Trainers are required to carry a personal trainer insurance policy. Jijo has partnered with a division of A J. Gallagher to enable trainers to buy an annual policy for $169 should the trainer not already have a policy in force.

Jijo uses data science and proprietary matching algorithms to match trainers and clients on their personal preferences and objectives. Clients are matched to trainers based on their inputs – equipment, availability, price, music, likes, and goals. Simultaneously, we are committed to supporting trainers in expanding their audience and growing their loyal following.  Jijo matches trainers with clients, clients who specifically want what they offer.  We believe this provides you a unique opportunity to convert new clients into permanent clients.

It’s very easy! Jijo enables you to send a personalized invite to any email address.  Once clicked, the recipient will be automatically connected to your profile, which will also become a recipient ‘favorite’. There is no app to download, so clients can join classes from any desktop or mobile browser.

Jijo will be inviting interested trainers to begin onboarding in advance of our official launch on April 30, 2021. If you have not already signed-up to receive updates as a trainer please do HERE.   You’ll be notified of all the materials you should begin preparing to create you official trainer profile when we open for trainers!

In return for a fully comprehensive platform that is designed to deliver matched clients to trainers, Jijo receives 25% of the trainer’s gross receipts.  Out of Jijo’s 25% override, Jijo pays for:

  1. All credit card and transaction processing fees
  2. All web service costs
  3. All marketing costs
  4. All platform improvement costs.

While all content produced using Jijo’s platform is owned by Jijo,  Jijo may not sell or monetize this content if you are no longer an active member of the platform.  Should you decide to leave, you’re not restricted in any way from reproducing the content.

Trainer Studio Guide

No! Click here for a link to our favorite equipment picks at all different price points.

We strongly encourage our trainers to avoid using their mobile phones while training. Using your mobile phone as your main device means limited benefits to both the trainer and client, spotty WiFi, potential class disruptions, and not to mention, it’s rough on the eyes! For more information, visit the Equipment Recommendations section of this guide.

Jijo offers trainers a variety of playlists based on modalities for you to choose from and import to your classes. More details to follow.

Because we do not require you to purchase any particular equipment, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the instructional guides included in your equipment purchases.

You will need a device to stream your video and audio – be it a computer, tablet, or mobile phone (though we do not recommend a mobile phone – see why here!). While it is not required to purchase additional equipment (camera, microphone, or monitor),  we have found that outfitting your studio with the proper additional tools does enhance the virtual fitness experience for both you and your clients. Click here for a link to our recommended equipment.
